Artist's Description

The old miner's cabin in Taos Canyon has an interesting and colorful history. Another of those places I passed again and again before finally stopping and recording. On this particular snowy day Valle Escandito was reflected in the old glass of the cabin.

About Jacqui Binford-Bell

Jacqui Binford-Bell

Jacqui Binford-Bell is a fine artist working in digital painting and visionary watercolor. "Originally photography was just a tool for capturing images to paint, but when I took two years off from painting I fell in love with photography and the dry darkroom," Jacqui explains to vistors to her Binford-Bell Studio and Gallery in Black Lake, New Mexico. The gallery is part of the Artistic Vistas and Treasures Art Trail in the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Her photography and paintings record those mountains and the Colorado Plateau she frequently visits. She has won numerous prizes and an international following with her watercolors and photography.
