Artist's Description

Driving through southern Colorado and northern New Mexico to capture the last of the fall colors before storms knock the remaining leaves off I chanced upon this valley just as clouds were covering the sky. Sun streaming through holes illuminated this grove of aspens.

About Jacqui Binford-Bell

Jacqui Binford-Bell

Jacqui Binford-Bell is a fine artist working in digital painting and visionary watercolor. "Originally photography was just a tool for capturing images to paint, but when I took two years off from painting I fell in love with photography and the dry darkroom," Jacqui explains to vistors to her Binford-Bell Studio and Gallery in Black Lake, New Mexico. The gallery is part of the Artistic Vistas and Treasures Art Trail in the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Her photography and paintings record those mountains and the Colorado Plateau she frequently visits. She has won numerous prizes and an international following with her watercolors and photography.
